Welcome Letter
Posted by Andrew Peltz on 8/9/2024I am proud to call myself a Wellington Duke. The staff, families, and community members who make up and support our schools share a common belief that education is about opening doors and creating opportunities for students to design their own futures. We at Wellington Exempted Village Schools work to help our students unlock their potential by focusing on building upon their unique strengths and aligning them on a path to maximize their aptitudes and interests. As a small-town school, we offer every student the opportunity to participate in athletics, performing arts, music, academic clubs, community organizations, STEM classes, agriscience, and more. We strive for the holistic development of our students, encouraging them to achieve a level of success in whatever they choose to do and become. Graduation is not our goal; instead, it is for each student to be prepared to find a life full of opportunities and happiness after they graduate. Our vision is to create a dynamic, supportive learning environment where all students develop adaptability, positive self-worth, with the skills needed to grow socially, emotionally, and academically. By fostering strong connections to school and community, we empower our students to advocate for themselves to design their own future as productive, engaged, resilient, and empathetic members of society. Together, we can make this vision a reality.
Once a Duke, always a Duke.
Dr. Andy Peltz, Superintendent of Wellington Exempted Village Schools
