Wellington FFA Students Attend Washington Leadership Conference this summer!
Posted by Amy Sword on 7/6/2023 8:00:00 PMWellington FFA students Jillian Stannard and Alison Gott attended The Washington Leadership Conference last week. Jillian and Alison shared that “WLC was a great experience that improved our leadership skills. During the conference, we met people from all over the country who quickly became good friends. It would be amazing if every FFA member had the opportunity to attend WLC.” Great work, Dukes! Way to represent Ohio! This amazing conference provides FFA members a premier leadership experience while exposing them to the rich history of Washington, D.C. The goal of the conference is to inspire FFA members to become changemakers in their communities. Each day of the conference focuses on a different principle taught through the context of our nation’s capital. These principles include exploration, encouragement, advocacy and service. At the end of the week, members leave with a Living to Serve Plan they can implement in their communities.FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership.
