  • Mark Donnelly Mark Donnelly was named Treasurer in June, 2020 and brings experience in all facets of K-12 finance and operations. Donnelly began his career in education as the Internal Auditor for Akron Public Schools before being promoted to the Manager of the Purchasing Department and the Warehouse. He has served as a Business Manager for Warren City Schools, Chagrin Falls EVSD, and Strongsville City Schools. Donnelly has successfully managed multi-million-dollar construction projects, cost reduction initiatives, insurance, and workers'  compensation issues.

    Donnelly graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and attended the University of Akron earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Donnelly holds a CPA license, a School Business Manager’s license, and a School Treasurer's license.

    Donnelly is a passionate and dedicated administrator who works for what is in the best interest of students. Donnelly believes that education is best when done with a supportive and collaborative relationship between the administration, staff and the community. By working together, there is no end to what can be accomplished.

    Congratulations and best wishes to our Treasurer, Mark Donnelly.  He has accepted a position as the Treasurer/CFO at Buckeye Local Schools in Medina and will finish at Wellington on July 31, 2024. Our board of education will meet on Tuesday, April 30 to take action on his resignation. 

    Superintendent Edward Weber shared that “Mr. Donnelly has been our Treasurer since 2020.  During that time, he helped to modernize our maintenance department, assisted with improving our heating and cooling needs at each building and was successful at facilities planning and project completion.  We are grateful for the past four years of his service and wish him luck at Buckeye, a district closer to his home in Medina.”

    Mr. Donnelly stated that he will do everything he can to wrap up open projects and ensure a smooth transition to the next Treasurer.  He wishes our school district continued success into the future.
