Meetings

  • The Wellington Exempted Village Schools Board of Education holds public meetings twice a month. These meetings provide the opportunity for the public to observe discussions relating to the business of the district. Generally, one meeting is a work session and the other a regular business meeting. Resident participation is permitted as outlined here.

Meetings are typically held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.. The location rotates, so please refer to the posted calendar for location details. The work session meetings allot additional time for executive session topics by limiting voting and public comment. The regular business meetings include recognitions, presentations, discussions, voting, and expanded time for public comment.

    Executive Sessions

During meetings, the Board may call a closed-door session, called an “executive session.” Ohio law allows executive sessions for discussion only, and only to discuss personnel, property purchases, pending legal action, employee negotiations, or security. The Board may not take votes or other action during executive sessions.
