Class Dojo

As the 3rd and 4th grade teachers have done, the 5th grade will be using ClassDojo. This program rewards students for demonstrating positive behaviors, and allows for students to reflect on their loss of feedback points for negative behaviors. Parents can connect and view their child's feedback points, see posts on our Class Story, and send messages to the 5th grade team.

Students will start the week with ten points for each day of the coming week. For example, this first week is only three days long, so they started the first day of school with 30 points. Students maintaining a specified percentage of points at the end of the week will be rewarded with a special activity. As we progress through the school year, the required percentage increases as the expectations of our students increases. The most common reason for point loss is not being prepared for class, which could mean coming without pencil and paper, talking out of turn or not having completed homework. To help ensure a successful year, please help to emphasize these basic rules with your child.
