Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. John Telloni

Welcome to McCormick Middle School and the start of another school year!!  I am Mr. Telloni and am excited to become the new principal of MMS and to become a part of the Wellington community.  I have been in education for 16 years, 11 as a middle school social studies teacher in Jackson Local Schools, and 5 as an assistant principal in Medina City Schools.  What I bring to MMS and to this district is a vision for a school that strives for excellence everyday.

To do that I believe everyone involved in a child’s education must maintain focus to keep the “main thing the main thing”.  I believe that for a school to be successful a school must achieve success in the following areas: Leadership, Purpose, Safe Positive Learning Environment, Superior Instruction/Teaching, High Expectations for All, Positive Reinforcements, Effective Progress Monitoring, Social/Emotional Support, Family/Community Involvement, and Growth Mindset of Students/Staff.  These areas of focus are the “main thing” and as the new building principal will be areas I will always look at and reflect on.  The ultimate goal must be for your child to be successful in life, which is why we will work so hard for you.

I look forward to meeting many of you as we start the school year and know here at MMS we have your son or daughter’s best interest at heart.  It is an honor and privilege to be able to serve you in the capacity knowing that your most treasured possession, your children, will be coming to us each and every day this school year.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to myself or any staff member who you think can best serve your needs.  Let’s have a fantastic school year!  Go Dukes!
