Dear Westwood Families,
As we approach the end of the 2024–2025 school year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering partnership, grace, and support throughout your child's academic journey. Your involvement has been instrumental in creating a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for our students.
MAP Growth Assessments: May 13–23
Our final Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessments are scheduled from May 13 to May 23. These assessments are designed to measure student growth in reading and math from the beginning to the end of the school year. They provide valuable insights into each student's academic development and help us tailor instruction to meet their needs. Please ensure your child is well-rested and arrives on time during this testing period. Your child's teacher will share more information via class dojo as to specific days of testing for the class.
End-of-Year Celebrations
We are excited to conclude the year with several special events:
-
Walking Field Trip to Rec Park: Students will walk the route to the local Rec Park, as this is also our evacuation route off campus and we want students to be aware of the route for drills.
-
Bounce House Fun: A day filled with laughter and physical activity as students enjoy the bounce house.
-
Field Day: A series of athletic events and games to promote teamwork and school spirit.
-
Spring Concerts: Mr. Lehman is preparing our talented students to showcase their musical abilities for the end-of-year performances (and a surprise slideshow) at the Lindley Center.
April was a month filled with memorable experiences. Please review the attached newsletter for photos and more information as we close out the final month of school.
Looking Ahead
As we look forward to the summer, we encourage families to take time to relax and recharge. We are already planning for an exciting 2025–2026 school year and can't wait to welcome students back in the fall.
Thank you once again for your continued support. We wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you next school year.
