Kindergarten Registration

2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration Now Open!
 
Wellington Village Schools is now accepting Kindergarten registrations for the 2026–2027 school year.
 

Families with incoming Kindergarten students should begin by completing the online enrollment pre-registration form. Once reviewed and approved, families will receive instructions to complete full enrollment and schedule their child’s Kindergarten screening.

Students enrolling for Kindergarten must be five years old by or on the first day of school - September 1, 2026.

Preschool Families:
Students currently attending Head Start at Wellington or the Early Learning Center in Lagrange should not complete the online pre-registration form. Please contact Student Services for instructions on how to proceed.

Full Enrollment Process

Please set aside 30 - 40 minutes for this process. 

You will need to provide the following documentation:
  1. Student's Birth Certificate
  2. Parent/Guardian State-Issued ID
  3. One current proof of residency (signed rental agreement, purchase agreement, construction agreement, home mortgage coupon, utility bill, tax bill, or voter registration)
  4. Stamped Custody Papers (if applicable)
The following documentation is not required at the time of registration, but must be submitted to the Westwood Office prior to the start of school.
  1. Current Physical Exam
  2. Current Oral Form
  3. Up-to-date Immunization Records. A current list of immunizations required by the Ohio Department of Health can be found here.
If you currently have a student in the school district, your Kindergarten student will automatically be added to your Parent PowerSchool account after the Pre-Registration form is approved.
If you're new to the district, you will receive information via email on how to complete the setup of your Parent PowerSchool Account.
 
 
Kindergarten Screenings
Kindergarten Screenings will take place on March 18th or March 19th at LCCC Wellington. Once the Full Registration has been completed and approved, you will receive an email with the link to sign up for a Screening Appointment. 
 
Step Into Kindergarten Night
Kindergarten families are invited to join us at Westwood on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 to meet staff, tour the building, and get assistance with the enrollment process if needed. Westwood will be open from 3:30pm-6:00pm for you to stop by as your schedule allows.
 
What if I don't live in Wellington school district? 
Wellington Exempted Village School district participates in open enrollment. Kindergarten open enrollment applications will be available February 23rd-June 5th, 2026. Please complete all registration forms and return to the Open Enrollment website after February 23rd to complete the application.
1st grade - 12th grade Open Enrollment Applications will be available beginning April 15th. Requests for all students will be acted upon no later than July 5th.  You may complete the Pre-Registration and schedule a Screening for your student prior to filling out the open enrollment application.
